About Thoracics

The world of thoracic surgery website was created with specific goals in mind; to connect people and information about lung disease, lung surgery (thoracic surgery) and thoracic surgeons in one site that is easily navigated and responsive to your changing and evolving needs.

We’re here to connect thoracic surgery professionals to each other and to the public – because, let’s face it – thoracic surgery isn’t glamorous, it isn’t sexy and it doesn’t get a lot of press, so the public may not even be aware of this specialty until they need us.  When they do – Cirugia de Torax will be here to help people find board-certified, well-trained specialists, and the information they need.  There is no ulterior motives; no referral bonuses, and no underlying purpose except to share information about some of the new and interesting technologies in thoracic surgery, and the people performing it.

It’s a non-profit site – in fact, there is no money involved; just a labor of love for the writers, the surgeons and everyone involved.

Our hope is by launching and building this website we will also serve as a forum for discussions of new and emerging treatments, research findings and surgery programs.  This is an enormous undertaking, and can not be established overnight – so be patient with us, and let us know what you think.

    1. Mr. Phillips,
I have no way of knowing what is causing your headaches based on the limited information provided. I am sorry about your insurance coverage – but I am unsure how I can help you..

    1. Ms. Stier –
without an exam and additional diagnostic studies, there is no way to know after 14 years. If the pain continues, please see your physician.
